Profile:
Ebby has been a regular fixture for Heyford United over the
last 12 years following the formation of the club. However following
the demise of the Sunday Reserve team we are hopeful that Ebby
can bring some much needed experience to the Athletic squad.
Pete
started out as a striker (who can ever forget his 'Rubber Belly'
after scoring his first goals for the club) although like most
of the older players has since made the move further back and
now operates mainly in central midfield although can also do
a job at centre half.
Ebby
is also well known for his famous saying on the pitch - "I
heard a call" or "2 calls" you'll often hear
him say when he plays yet another blind pass either straight
to the opposition or out of play!
Seriously
a player who gives 110% to the club and will never let the side
down.
Ebby
is also a massive Coventry City fan and has held a season ticket
for a number of years now, although we are hopeful that the
pull of regular Saturday football will see him put his support
of hold as he sees out the last few years of his playing career.
